Sunrise Roof-A-Cide® is the distributor of Roof-A-Cide® Inc. products. Our new Authorized Applicator program is designed to grow our National Network of Roof Cleaning and Stain Prevention Professionals.
Roof-A-Cide® algaecide/fungicide began as a product concept in Davie, Florida in 1992 as a safe alternative to the damaging process of repeated roof cleaning with "high pressure washing" and the use of harsh chemicals which were considered "unavoidable" throughout South Florida.
Over the next few years, Roof-A-Cide® was formulated, fully developed and field tested on approximately 2,000 homes throughout Broward County, South Florida. The test results were considered a major breakthrough in "Antimicrobial Technology Surface Cleaning and Protection."
Roof-A-Cide® our proprietary formulation of antimicrobial cleaning agents and algae preventatives is the Only EPA Approved Algaecide/Fungicide for use on roofing materials. GAF Materials, MonierLifeTile, and US Tile the largest roofing manufacturer's in the United States, have tested and approved Roof-A-Cide® for use on their roofing products.
Roof-A-Cide® has been demonstrated to be a cost-effective and safe alternative in totally controlling recurring algae and fungus growth resulting in "black streaking" stains on barrel tile, concrete tile and asphalt/fiberglass shingle roof surfaces.
As communities and municipalities created and enforced "Clean Roof" standards, many homeowners became concerned about the cost of roof cleaning every 6-12 months and began to look for safe alternatives.
